From Tactical to Practical - Acela "resets" former military trucks to like-new condition for difficult market applications.A new company launched a line of commercial trucks at the Global Petroleum Show in Canada earlier this year. Acela Truck Co. offers extreme-duty 4x4 and 6x6 trucks targeted at applications such as oil and gas, mining and forestry. The company said the trucks are borne in a proprietary process that restores surplus U.S. Army Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTVs) to near zero-mile condition.
